Founded in 1997, Book City is a thematic theatrical space. It is different because it is highly educational and helps to develop the habit of reading from an early age.

By partnering with International Paper Institute, it began the Travelling Book City project, aimed at providing experiences for other municipalities where IIP operates. The theatrical space is therefore replicated in other locations outside of the city of São Paulo.

Project developed with the support of the Government Tax Incentive Program.

The first exhibit took place in 2009, in the city of Mogi Guaçu, in the state of São Paulo. In 2011, the project was presented in Três Lagoas, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, and in 2013, the project went to the Book Fair in Ribeirão Preto, in the state of São Paulo.
