Geared towards children in the 1st to 5th grades of primary school, at schools throughout Brazil, the project is made up of a series of digital animated shorts that talk about fauna and flora in Brazilian biomes and how to preserve them.

The shorts are distributed to around 36,000 public and private schools nationwide and are part of the TV Escola programming. They may also be watched at the website: http://guardioesdabiosfera.com.br


  • Promote environmental education of elementary school students;
  • Train teachers and provide tools that help them to work with environmental education;
  • Promote healthy discussion of topics that cover issues of environmental conservation;
  • Reinforce the wealth of the biodiversity of Brazilian plant and animal life and its importance to the world.
