Launched at International Paper in 2010, the Formare School Project, developed by Fundação Iochpe (social franchise), offers professional education courses for young people from low-income families, with certification recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and issued by the Federal University of Technology – Paraná (UTFPR).
The program’s classes are given by International Paper professionals, known as volunteer educators. The Formare School also includes participation by volunteer executives in the “Aim for the Example” program, providing tutoring for students.

IP Institute maintains the project at two integrated International Paper pulp and paper plants located in the state of São Paulo (Mogi Guaçu and Luiz Antônio) and at its paper factory in Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul, which is the first school in this state.

High school students in the public school system, ages 16 to 18, residing in the cities where there are IP factories and in nearby communities, whose average monthly family income is up to one minimum monthly wage per person.
